YES! I would love visitors! But, please be aware that you will be living locally, and "roughing it" - it will not be easy, and it will not be relaxing, but it will be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
With that being said, I cannot be running a hotel and playing tour guide for my entire 2 years in Tanzania! It is important that I spend most of my time alone in my community, integrating into my community and focusing on my job. Peace Corps does not allow me to have visitors during training or the first and last three months of my service, so there is a March 2011 through August 2012 window to visit. Ideally visitors would come during my school breaks, although Peace Corps also plans in-service training, conferences, etc. during those times. In short, hosting visitors will require some advanced planning; if you are at all interested in visiting, shoot me an email and we can discuss the logistics in more detail.
My school schedule is roughly...
1st semester: mid-January to the end of May
-break for June and most of July-
2nd semester: end of July to the beginning of December

Please note that Peace Corps discourages extended stays at my site (more than 30 days requires permission from the country director), and cannot provide you with visa, medical, or travel assistance.
